Independent Certification Center Electrical and electronics for motor vehicles, tractors and trailers was established on the basis of NIIAE in 1997 (prior to 1994 it served the function of AK "Avtoelektrostandart" - a division of NIIAE.

Over the lifetime of the center has issued over 4,000 certificates of conformity for products of domestic enterprises, enterprises of the CIS, the leading companies in the U.S., Japan, Germany and other countries. The basic document on compliance with which is checked products is safe requirements of GOST-3940-84 "Electrical automotive, general technical conditions" consistent with State Standards to the UNECE Regulations and standards for electromagnetic compatibility.
